What is the Special Needs Program?

The Religious Education Special Needs Program was developed to provide an opportunity for our young people, who may be educationally and/or developmentally challenged, to journey in faith in a structured environment.

When does the Special Needs Program meet?

Classes for the Special Needs Program meet on Sunday mornings in a structured environment with flexibility regarding scheduling, presentation of subject material and sacrament reception.   A devoted team of teacher and assistants provide instruction suitable for the needs of the young people.  The children are grouped  according to age.  Learning is done through prayers, lessons, music and fun.

Registering for the Special Needs Program.

Families wishing to participate in the Special Needs Program must be registered parishioners and the young person must have been baptized.  Families should contact the Religious Education Office at 908-322-2359 or at info@stbreled.org.
