                                   Top Ten Reasons to Volunteer/Witness to be a Catechist

                1.   Your life will be enriched by participating in this special way with the young people of the parish.

                2.  You will have the opportunity to live out your Catholic faith through example.

                3.  You will be rewarded by the young people you are connected with each time.

                4.  You will have opportunities to explore your own faith.

                5.  You will work as part of a team.

                6.  You can choose a grade level which emphasizes a subject that excites you.

                7.  You can choose the age group you most enjoy working with and journeying in faith.

                8.  You will meet and work with a variety of parishioners.

                9.  You will need only a desire to serve.  We will provide thraining and support.

               10.  You will become a member of the largest volunteer program in the parish.

A training workshop is mandated by the Archdiocese of Newark regarding child abuse awareness.  All volunteers are required to attend prior to working with children.  Checkout the section on this website which is marked Protecting God's Children for further information and how to attend this workshop.
